You may know Patrick Dempsey as Dr. McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy, but did you also know he was the co-driver of the Porsche 911 GT3 that came in fourth place in his class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Or that he's the star of a new documentary all about the race? Ask him all about it right now.
We all know Patrick Dempsey as McDreamy, obviously. But did you know that he also dabbles in auto racing? He does! And he wants to answer your questions. Fire away.
This is a little different than our normal Q&As. Patrick is an actual celebrity with an actual schedule, so he is unable to be here live to answer your questions.
Here's how we're going to do it: This post will be open for questions until 12:30 EST/9:30 PST. Once 12:30 comes, I'm going to hand pick the finest questions you people can offer and email them over to Patrick. He'll send me answers. I'll answer you.
For those of you who don't know, Mr. Dempsey competed in his second 24 Hours of Le Mans this year in a Porsche 911 GT3 with Patrick Long and Joe Foster. And they didn't do too bad. Not too bad at all. Fourth in class after 24 Hours is nothing to sneeze at.
At the track, Dempsey gets a lot of media attention because of his prominent social position, but the reality is that he just wants to race. That's awesome. A four-part documentary about Patrick's preparation and run at Le Mans will begin airing on Velocity on August 28th at 10 PM.
Ok, so, ask some questions below. I'll reply to them when Patrick responds. You have your assignment. Do it.
